The Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), with funding from the Social Innovation Fund (SIF), announces the opening of a grant competition for its Bridges to Career Opportunities (BCO) program. Successful applicants will be nonprofit organizations demonstrating the ability to effectively operate contextualized “bridge” programming, connecting to skills training for low-income, unemployed and underemployed individuals. Participants accessing these services must be supported with career and financial coaches throughout the process.
LISC will award approximately 32 grants nationally, averaging $175,000 per award. SIF awards require a 1:1 match of non-federal funds. Funding will be limited to the following geographies: Woonsocket and Providence.
